Al Beitz

Al Beitz is the director of the Center for Educational Innovation and is a Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine. He teaches in the CEI Early Career Program and serves as Co-Chair of the new Provost’s Advisory Committee on Teaching, Learning and Technology. As Director, Dr. Beitz works with faculty and with campus, collegiate, and departmental leaders to build and sustain collaborations that advance pedagogical and curricular excellence and innovation, including the sharing of new practices and the strategic use of academic technology. He works closely with the Directors of the Libraries, Disability Services and OIT-Academic Technology and with collegiate units to foster partnerships to advance pedagogical and curricular initiatives, including technology innovation aligned with faculty needs and strategic academic priorities. Dr. Beitz previously served as a Department Chair and is currently a member of the University Faculty Senate.
