Perhaps you’re wondering where the “accent” goes in English words. For example, why do we say “a MAKE-up test," but then “to make-UP a test”? Why do we say “HIStory” but the “accent” changes for “hisTORical?” This workshop will answer the question if there are any rules that can help you figure out where to put the “accent.”
