Conversations on Centering International Students: Supporting Multilingual & Intercultural Learning
This series centers supporting multilingual and international students in learning spaces in efforts to create a socially just campus with more equitable learning opportunities. Through monthly conversations, we aim to realize the full potential of our globally diverse classrooms by emphasizing the importance of self-reflection among all classroom members, and examination of individual and systemic biases. These conversations involve all students because each and every student (international and domestic) contributes to the diversity in the classroom. We will explore the context of supporting multilingual and international students and in each session you’ll leave with actionable steps to immediately implement in your teaching (no course overhaul needed).
