Inclusive Teaching Topics: Class Climate

Thursday, September 2, 2021 2:30pm to 4:00pm

Description: Class climate is the way it feels for students to be in a class, in-person or online. The emotional and social tone of a class affects learning. This webinar introduces a framework for inclusive teaching that promotes learning for all students while recognizing students’ differential experiences of the University. Participants will learn strategies for promoting a healthy class climate; methods of getting feedback on class climate; and discuss responding to unhealthy class climate dynamics.

Facilitators: Anita Gonzalez and Clare Forstie from the Center for Educational Innovation

Post-session Resources: This session will not be recorded. Slides and resources will be sent to all registrants within two business days following the session.
