Key Takeaways from Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Journal Club Discussions
Description: The Pedagogical Innovations Journal Club is an opportunity to discuss recent findings in educational research. The Spring 2021 theme focused on articles evaluating different approaches to promoting student equity, inclusion, and belonging. Articles addressed how stereotype threat and mindset may contribute to opportunity gaps and how interventions such as active learning and inclusive teaching practices contributed to decreasing those gaps. We will summarize the findings from the research including strategies you can incorporate into your teaching.
