New TA Orientation

Tuesday, August 24, 2021 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Description: In this interactive session, new teaching assistants will be introduced to university resources for teaching, and will reflect on and discuss teaching strategies, roles, and responsibilities. Participants will also be introduced to key policies around FERPA*, working with students with disabilities, and responsibilities in reporting Title IX violations, among others. All participants will learn from each other by talking through responses to potential challenging moments in the classroom.

Facilitators: Alyssa Bonnac and Anita Gonzalez from the Center for Educational Innovation.

Recording & Resources: This session will be recorded and a link to the recording and resources will be sent to all registrants within two business days following the session.
