Quick strategies for helping students improve prose style (Workshop)
140 Nolte Center (East Bank)
When responding to and grading student writing, instructors must often focus on content-related and larger organizational issues, leaving little time to address style concerns. This workshop will provide brief and adaptable in-class workshops that can help students revise for effective tone and vernacular, write coherent sentences, and construct fluent paragraphs. Time will be reserved for instructors to plan a mini workshop that addresses a specific style concern they have with student writing.
