Mid-Career Teaching Community

Join this community to explore options for mid-career faculty.  At mid-career, faculty typically have more opportunities to experiment and pursue interests such as:

  • experimenting with teaching methods
  • collaborating with peers within or across disciplines
  • mapping a new strategic direction in their teaching or professions
  • mentoring and coaching students

The Mid-Career Teaching Faculty Learning Community meets 4 times during Spring 2018.  Topics for each meeting are determined by participants.  A maximum of 18 participants are accepted. Participants completing the program (attend a minimum of 3 meetings) will receive a $200 professional development stipend transferred to their EFS account.  The program is open to full-time faculty of any rank that self-identify as “mid-career.”

Meetings will be on the first Wednesday of the month, 3:00-4:30pm, in 6-101 Nils Hasselmo Hall, East Bank, Minneapolis.
