Mid-Career Faculty Women's Program

This program focuses on issues central to the experiences of women-identified faculty. Research from the scholarship of teaching and learning indicates that the professional lives of women in academe are informed in numerous ways by gender. Students often have different, perhaps unstated, expectations for faculty women. Communication, learning, and teaching styles may vary based on gender and academic discipline, which in turn creates different possibilities and challenges for effective and rewarding teaching practices. This community draws on your experiences in addition to research on gender, teaching, and women in academe as we explore and support the teaching practice and professional lives of University women-identified faculty. 

The Mid-Career Faculty Women's Program is open to Twin Cities full-time faculty of any rank that self-identify as "mid-career" and "woman."
