Kris is an Education Program Specialist who’s been with CEI since 2013. She provides consultations and facilitates workshops and programs for faculty and TAs with a particular interest in using evidence about how students learn to inform teaching practice. Kris’s work has focused on supporting faculty and TAs in STEM disciplines, especially collaborating with instructors who are integrating active learning into science courses and working to improve retention of underrepresented students in the sciences.
Kris received her PhD in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester and postdoctoral training from the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching at the University of Michigan.
Kris is the liaison to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities College of Biological Sciences and College of Science and Engineering and the University of Minnesota Rochester.
