Biography

As the director of the Center for Educational Innovation, Caroline provides strategic direction and operational leadership for the Center. She also holds an appointment as Assistant Vice Provost in the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs. 

Prior to joining CEI, Caroline was the director of the Office of Medical Education at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She had responsibility for overseeing initiatives and implementing strategic and operational business plans, programs, policies, and priorities across the medical education continuum. Her office provided support to Admissions, Curriculum, Student Affairs, Assessment and Evaluation, Continuing Professional Development, Anatomy Bequest program and the undergraduate Mortuary Science program.

She previously served as assistant provost and prior to that, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Hamline University. She has extensive experience in inclusive and innovative teaching, faculty development, learning outcomes assessment, and strategic educational partnerships. 

She received her PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota.
