Biography

Mary is an Education Program Specialist who has been with CEI since 1999. Mary wears a number of hats at the Center. She has provided leadership and facilitation for many of CEI's programs, including Early Career Teaching and Learning, Mid-Career Faculty Women's Program, Senior Faculty Fellows, and Teaching for Student Well-Being programs. 

With expertise in online teaching, Mary has facilitated the Online Course Design Seminar and the Making a Good Online Course Even Better program. She has developed and facilitated many workshops related to this topic and others, including Universal Design for Learning, syllabus makeovers, and early term feedback. She is also an instructor in the international teaching assistant program and coordinates the College of Science of Engineering's CSE:TALK program for new international TAs.

Mary holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Central College and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Northern Iowa.
