GRAD 8200: Teaching for Learning

Course Description

GRAD 8200: Teaching for Learning is a one-credit course uses a case study and interactive discussion approach as participants engage with scenarios that are similar to those faced by instructors teaching developing and conducting college courses. Resources and assignments engage you in topical discussions, reflective course planning, and development of class session teaching and learning strategies to support learning-centered teaching. Seminar modules will address the core components of course design (developing and aligning aims, activities, assessments, and atmosphere/climate), include assignments focused on drafting a learning-oriented syllabus for a course you plan or hope to teach, and a variety of discussions focused on learning and teaching in higher education. This course meets entirely online.
