We work with you to collect clear, actionable, and confidential feedback from students on instruction or curriculum.
Collect early term student feedback as a way to learn how students are responding to your course with time to make adjustments. Collecting and responding to student feedback demonstrates to students that you care about their learning.
Facilitated feedback provides instructors with aggregated and summarized information from an objective third party who can provide some context for the responses. We prioritize this service for faculty and instructors who:
- are newer to teaching or are teaching a course for the first time
- are experiencing specific concerns or anxiety related to their teaching
- have received poor student feedback or have had challenging interpersonal interactions with students
- have not requested facilitated student feedback in the last year
One of our consultants will work with you to determine a process for gathering consensus-based feedback from your students given the instructional modality of your course. You and the consultant will work together to customize the questions based on what you want to know.
After reviewing the feedback to discern and prioritize themes, the consultant works with you to identify changes that will further support student learning.
Ideally, the Student Feedback Facilitation is scheduled after your students have received feedback on an assignment and 1-2 weeks before the midpoint of your course.
While this requires between 15-25 minutes of class time, most instructors and students find that the value of prioritized feedback far exceeds the cost of sacrificed class time.
Please include the days/times/location your course is offered and 2 preferred dates for collecting feedback in your class.
