Alyssa is an Education Program Specialist who provides consulting, workshops, and courses for faculty and graduate students. She is an instructor in the International Teaching Assistant Program and coordinates New TA Orientation efforts at the Twin Cities campus. Alyssa is particularly interested in integrating international students into the academic experience at the U of M by underscoring effective online learning principles, active learning strategies, and inclusive teaching practices throughout her work.
Alyssa holds an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin. She draws on over 15 years of experience teaching in higher education and providing online professional development for K-Higher Ed teachers.
