Biography

Jessie (she/her) is an Education Program Specialist who provides consultations, workshops, and programming centered around student success and student experience. She also teaches in the Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Program, assisting graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in developing teaching skills for higher education. Jessie holds expertise in designing and revising curriculum, facilitating engaging discussions, developing effective assessments, and creating inclusive learning environments. She also has a curious mind about the use of generative AI in higher education and is eager to deepen her understanding of the evolving potential and challenge it poses in teaching and learning. 

Jessie holds a B.A. in English from Carleton College, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D in Literacy Education from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has been teaching both young and adult learners for over two decades and finds great joy in helping other educators reflect on and grow in their practice.
